Kybella Treatment and Behind-the-Scenes at Dr. Stef’s Office
Hi my beauties! In this week's video, I took you along on a typical day in my life, giving you a sneak peek behind the scenes at my office doing the procedures I love.
Our focus this week is on Kybella, one of my favorite and most underrated treatments. In this blog post, we’ll discuss how you can dramatically change your appearance with Kybella for Jawline Definition and Double Chin removal.
This blog will cover the highlights of Kybella as a treatment for lower face rejuvenation – be sure to check out the video for an in depth discussion on Kybella, and also to see the behind the scenes footage from my patient’s treatment.
Kybella: A Naturally Occuring Fat-Dissolving Product
Let's dive into Kybella, an injectable deoxycholic acid designed to melt excess adipose tissue, commonly known as fat.
Kybella is a naturally occurring enzyme harvested for injection under the skin and subcutaneous tissue, making it an effective solution for stubborn fat in areas like the double chin or body contouring.
My Personal Kybella Journey
I'm no stranger to the magic of Kybella. In fact, I had a one-vial treatment under my chin when I was 41, and the results were phenomenal.
Despite being petite with a pretty defined jawline, I had a stubborn submental fat pocket that bothered me. Kybella snatched up that lower chin area, and I've been a fan ever since.
Combining Kybella with Other Non-Surgical Options:
The procedure showcased in this week’s video involves more than just Kybella. I'll be combining it with Thermage, an energy-based device that uses radio frequency to tighten the skin. We'll explore the synergistic results and how it contributes to achieving a snatched jawline.
This dynamic duo, along with some tweaks like Voluma for the jawline, can make a dramatic difference in enhancing one's profile and jawline.
Kybella is a great adjuvant to other non invasive treatments for jawline contouring and lower face definition.
The Rise of Non-Invasive Procedures:
You might have noticed the flawless looks at the Grammys – many celebrities are turning to non-invasive, non-surgical procedures.
Kybella, in particular, has become a favorite due to its customizable, natural-looking, and low-risk features when administered by an expert.
A Word on Kybella Safety and Expertise:
Kybella, when injected correctly, is a safe and effective treatment. However, it's crucial to emphasize the importance of expertise.
I stay within safe zones during injections and avoid off-label use to prevent complications such as nerve damage or paralysis.
What to Expect After a Kybella Treatment:
Post-treatment, expect significant swelling under the chin, resembling a "bullfrog" appearance. This is a natural response indicating that the fat cells are dissolving.
Swelling typically subsides after a week or two, revealing a more defined jawline.
Results manifest in 6-8 weeks, with one to three treatments recommended based on individual needs.
Patient Update: The Morning After Kybella:
Head over to my YouTube channel to see this week’s video, for a post-treatment update where my patient shares her experience the morning after Kybella and Thermage.
Despite swelling, she highlights minimal pain, attributing it to the gentle approach and focus on patient comfort.
Post-Treatment Swelling and Results:
In the video, you’ll get to follow my patient's journey over the following days, showcasing the swelling and progression.
Stay tuned for the final results in a few weeks, with potential plans for additional vials based on individual needs.
