The Longevity Supplements I’m Using as I Approach 50

As a double board-certified cosmetic dermatologist and mom of two navigating a hectic clinic schedule, all the kid routines and a skincare line, I’ve always believed in a foundational supplement routine: fish oil, probiotics, a solid multivitamin, vitamin C, and a few others. But recently, I’ve updated my stack—big time.

With my 50th birthday approaching, I’ve shifted toward longevity-focused therapies that go beyond daily pills and start diving deeper—literally—with subcutaneous injections and IV therapies.

In this video, I walk you through:

✅ The exact longevity supplements I’m using now
✅ Why I’ve started NAD+ and Semax injections
✅ My thoughts on Rapamycin (and why I haven’t started it yet)
✅ The IV therapies I'm experimenting with for mitochondrial health
✅ My honest take on whether I feel any different

My Morning Routine: NAD+ & Semax Injections

My day begins with two subcutaneous injections, 3–4 days per week:

Semax Injection
A custom blend made by my doctor, packed with:

  • High-dose vitamin C

  • B-complex vitamins

  • Glutathione

  • Magnesium & zinc

  • Amino acids

  • CoQ10

Why I take it: Energy, immunity, skin health, cognitive enhancement, detoxification, and athletic recovery. As someone who works out right before clinic (hello, Pilates and weights), it helps me stay sharp and resilient.

NAD+ (Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide)
50mg injected subcutaneously. While oral NAD supplements exist, the bioavailability is significantly better with injections. It supports:

  • Mitochondrial function

  • Cellular energy (ATP production)

  • Anti-aging at the cellular level

It stings a little when injected, but it’s worth it for the long-term brain and cellular health benefits.

The Supplements I Still Take Daily

Some supplements have been with me for years and are still going strong in my routine:

  • Vitamin C – A skin and immune system staple

  • Probiotics – For gut health and digestion

  • Multivitamin – For foundational nutrient support

  • B12 Injections (IM weekly) – I tend to run low

  • Cholesterol-Off (plant sterols) – Due to family history of high cholesterol

  • Heliocare (Polypodium leucotomos extract) – For skin protection from the inside out

  • Creatine (Thorne, 5g daily) – Brain and muscle support

  • Collagen Peptides – 1–2 scoops daily in coffee or smoothies

What’s New or Coming Soon

  • Rapamycin
I haven’t started this yet, but my provider recommended 6mg weekly on an empty stomach.

    • It’s an mTOR inhibitor with growing data for longevity, impacting cellular renewal and regulation.

    • I’m still doing research and consulting physician friends—stay tuned.

  • IV Therapies I’ve Started

    • Methylene Blue – Mitochondrial function support

    • Glutathione – Potent antioxidant with detox and anti-aging benefits
These are administered once or twice monthly depending on my schedule.

A Few Real-Life Notes

My routine isn’t always glamorous. I pack multiple bags daily to get through workouts, clinic, parenting, and filming. But what I’ve learned is this: layering self-care, including supplements and skincare, pays off in energy, confidence, and clarity.

I’m not chasing youth—I’m preserving vitality. And it’s worth it. Be sure to watch the video for more detailed insight on each of these supplements and why and how I have incorporated them into my routine!
